INDIAN CASTOR SEED EXTRACTION MEAL

Process description

This Meal is made after extracting oil from the harvested Castor Seed. Once harvested, the Castor Seed undergoes multistage oil extraction processes like seed cleaning, pre-conditioning, rolling and flaking, cooking and pressing. Solvent extraction (hexane) of the press-cake is then carried out to extract the remainder of the oil. The desolventising and toasting takes place under hygienically controlled conditions. Known for being versatile natural manure, Castor Seed Meal is widely used as an organic fertiliser. It enhances fertility without compromising the soil with damage or decay. The presence of the vital elements of Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium in Castor Seed Meal nurtures the healthy growth of crops. Traces of nutrients like Manganese, Zinc, and Copper further lend to its credibility as a balanced fertiliser.

Castor Seed Meal also neutralises the harmful effects of chemical fertilisers. In comparison to synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, Castor Seed Meal helps the crops grow with natural nourishment. It improves the yield and quality of taste, flavor, and amino acid composition of the crop while protecting the soil at the same time.
